Sinus infection – natural ways to heal, to recover?
Hi, I have a sinus infection each year and always take antibiotics. I was wondering are there any natural ways to cure my sinus without the need 2 take antibiotics? Accupresure some exercises or something like that? for me to get sinusitis is just enough to be in a cold place or a windy area without wearing my cap, hat.
Hi. I am sorry that you have sinusitis each year. That sounds very annoying. Antibiotics only work if the source of bacterial sinusitis. Sinusitis can be due to viruses, bacteria, fungi, allergies or other causes. Depending on the cause, treatment can include antibiotics, antihistamines, immunotherapy or corticosteroids. If your doctor does not know or do not test what is the cause and do not tell you specifically to take antibiotics, I gap them at the moment. I hope you get a more definitive diagnosis! Place warm, damp towels around your nose, cheeks and eyes to ease facial pain. Drink plenty of fluids. Dilute mucous secretions and promote drainage by consuming additional fluids. Avoid alcohol. Alcohol can worsen the swelling of the lining of the sinuses and nose. Use a humidifier. If the air in your house is dry, as if you have forced hot air heat, adding moisture and clean air May help prevent sinusitis. Make sure the humidifier is clean and free of mold.
