Wood and wood

Hundreds of different species of wood, which vary widely in their appearance and properties are generally classified into two major groups of hardwoods and conifers. Hardwoods come from deciduous trees such as ash and oak. Softwoods come from coniferous trees have mostly needle-like leaves – Norway spruce, for example.
