The vet says my cat needs cat food prescription?

More precisely, Science Diet CD because he had questions bladder after a few years ago. He will eat and had no problems since. But is there another cat food I can feed him that will also have the balance needed for the health of the bladder? Before the incident of bloody urine I bought Natural Balance cat food. I want to give him foods that do not contain corn or other charges. There is surely a good brand of cat food out there that would meet its needs, but not the cost of $ 32 for a bag of 10 pounds! Unfortunately Skeeter refuses to eat canned food, no matter flavor or brand. It seems to dislike him. I bought him his own kitty water fountain and he likes it. He drinks it often so I feel it is to get a hydration enough, now he has his spring, though he has a diet of dry food – complete with pieces of meat.

Even brands like Friskies would shit better than dry food, I do not pretend to be a veterinarian, veterinary technician, veterinary student or something like that. But I know how to research and examine the results. I read a little about this subject, which is how I came to the conclusions I have. At least if I have another cat with urinary problems, I prefer to try on a preserve quality food (or well-balanced diet of raw meat) before the bombing of the dough to the "prescription" dry food (or even their canned varieties). Because I believe that good nutrition and species appropriate food is much more likely to keep a cat healthy than inferior ingredients which have been adjusted to change their chemical composition. What should you do? If your vet recommends a prescription diet, I can recommend at the very least, you get the canned version of that food. This way, your cat extra hydration it needs. And do not feel bad giving this food your cat – temporarily. He will do what it is designed to do, then you can be sure that your cat will do well while you do more research. And I want you encourage them to do. Do not take my word for it – read about these things for yourself. Stabilize your cat's food order, then you are looking for something better. If canned food (or raw) alone is not enough help, there are other supplements you could research. I have not yet done, but I know that Wysong makes a supplement for urinary issues.
